Registration for Tree Camp has begun! Complete a separate registration form for each child (age 5 - 11) that plans to attend, and return the forms to Ikeria either in person or by email to Youth@TreeChurch.net. Because we need to have a camper count to Lutherhill two weeks in advance, registration forms must be submitted no later than at the late church service on Sunday, July 10. Pick up registration forms in the Narthex, or click here: Tree Camp Registration Form
Project: Tree Camp is a collaboration between Tree of Life, the Conroe YMCA, Lutherhill, and three other local ELCA churches. It will be a full-day camp running from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday, July 25 through Friday, July 29. We are expecting about eighty kids (WOW!!) The camp will be staffed by counselors from both Lutherhill and the YMCA supplemented by volunteers from all four churches. (There will be more on volunteer opportunities very soon!)
We have welcomed three new members to Tree of Life during the month of May...and we already have more people asking when the next New Member Class will be! The answer: Sunday, June 5, at 9:15 am. If you would like to become a member of our church, fill out an Action card (found in the pews) on Sunday, or let Deb Zimmer know (either by telling her in person or emailing Welcome@TreeChurch.net).
After the short, informal class, we'll welcome you at the 10:30 service that day (or, if you prefer the 8:00 service, the following week).
In addition to our regular Sunday worship services, we are holding midweek Lenten Worship services with Holden Evening Prayer on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Tree of Life will also hold worship services for Maundy Thursday (April 14, 6:30 pm) and Good Friday (April 15, 6:30 pm). All of these special Lenten services are available via Livestream for those who are not able to join us in person.
Throughout the Lent season, we will collect small and travel-size toiletry items on behalf of St. Vincent de Paul. Please bring any unused, unopened toiletry items you wish to donate any time during Lent. You may place your donations in the basket in the Narthex. Suggested items include deodorant, disposable razors, lotion, shampoo, soap, toothbrushes (with covers or cases), toothpaste, chapstick, hand sanitizer, and sunscreen. Contact Diana at Care@TreeChurch.net with any questions!
If you're not yet a member of our church but would like to be - we'd love to have you join our Tree family! We plan to receive new members during the 10:30 service on Sunday, April 3. Just let us know you are ready to become a member of our congregation (either send an email to Welcome@TreeChurch.net or complete and turn in one of the "Action" cards you'll find in the pews) and then come to a "new member class" at 9:15 am that morning.
The nursery is now open for children up to age 4 during both Sunday morning worship services. The nursery is in the Education Building. Visitors, if you need help locating the nursery, just let someone know. We're all happy to help!
On Ash Wednesday (March 2), from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, Tree of Life will host "Ashes to Go." All are invited to come by the church during those hours to receive ashes.
Tree of Life will begin Wednesday Lenten Worship services on March 2 at 6:30 pm with a traditional Ash Wednesday worship service. The services held on the remaining Wednesdays (March 9 - April 6, 6:30 pm) will be worship with Holden Evening Prayer.
If you are interested in becoming a member of Tree of Life, we would love to have you!
We are planning a "new member class" for Sunday, Feb. 6 at 9:15 am. Come meet with Pastor Chris and learn a little bit about Tree of Life, and then, if you're ready - we'll bring you on as members during the 10:30 service! If this sounds good to you, let us know; either tell us when you're here one Sunday morning or send an email to Welcome@TreeChurch.net!
Ash Wednesday, which falls on March 2 this year, marks the beginning of Lent. We are bringing back "Ashes to Go" from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm on Ash Wednesday. All are invited to come by the church during those hours to receive ashes.
Please note: in order to do this service for Tree of Life and the community, we are in need of volunteers! Please sign up on the sheet in the Narthex or email Jill at OfficeMail@TreeChurch.net.
