All students grades 6 through 12 are invited to enjoy some much-needed fellowship time while exploring the beauty of nature on a nature hike!

The event will be on Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10 am to noon at W. G. Jones State Forest on FM 1488 (just 1.5 miles from I-45). This park is home to a vast number of birds and especially the endangered Red-Cockaded Woodpecker.

We'll start with some time together (socially distanced with masks) to share some of our highs and lows and then go on the nature hike. Bring your favorite mask, walking shoes, and a bottle of water...and feel free to bring a friend!

Email Jeremie Brown at Jeremie@TreeChurch.net with any questions or to RSVP.

The TOL women's book and bible study group, dubbed the "Bad Girls" after the title of one of the first books the group read, are gathering their books together and will be dropping them off for donation at the church. Other members are invited to make donations as well. We will be collecting books from Sunday, Jan. 24 through Sunday, Jan. 31.

If you have any of the Bad Girls' reading selections to donate, or if you have other Bible study or religious reading material that you would like to donate, bring them with you to In-person Worship or Walk-up Communion...or just drop by any time during the week!

The church office is open Monday - Thursday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. There will be a plastic bin on the bench outside the worship building front doors if you come by at a time no one is available to take your donation.

Once the books are added to the TOL library, we'll let you know so you can come look over and check out the books! (Maybe you will even be able to snag a copy of Bad Girls of the Bible!)

Biblical preaching is an art...a skill...an intellectual challenge. Even if you never preach to people, learning the art of preaching can be insightful and inspiring to one's self and spiritual practice.

If you would like to learn more about the art and skill of preaching - whether or not you choose to stand at the pulpit during worship some Sunday - join Pastor Chris for a class in "learning to preach." The class will be held on Sundays at 4:00 pm beginning Feb. 14 via Zoom (at least to start). The class is scheduled to run through May 2, with two weeks off in April for Easter and the following week.

If you're interested or would like more information, contact the church office at OfficeMail@TreeChurch.net.

Reservations for this coming Sunday's worship (at 10:30 am) are currently open.

We ask that people planning to attend "in-person worship" register in advance when possible. We will welcome walk-ins on Sunday morning for as long as we have space to safely seat people, but first priority will be given to people with reservations.

People attending are expected to follow certain safety protocols that will be in place, including the wearing of masks throughout the service. So that we can ensure the safety and comfort of all in attendance, individuals who do not follow the safety guidelines while in the church may be asked to leave.

To reserve spots for in-person worship, click on the link below and select "In-person Worship" with the appropriate date, and:

  • In the "Name" field, provide your name.
  • Indicate the number of people who will be attending with you. We want to have a reasonable expectation of how many will be present so that we may plan sanctuary seating accordingly.
  • Provide your email address and click Submit. You will receive a confirmation via email right after registering.

RSVP for In-Person Worship

If you have any issues with the reservation system, or if you RSVP and then decide you will not be attending, please call the church office at 936-539-9530 or email officemail@treechurch.net.

Reservations for in-person worship will be closed on Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. Again, we will welcome walk-ins on Sunday morning for as long as we can seat them safely...so if you decide to come, COME!

Livestream Worship

The worship team and volunteers are absolutely committed to continuing to bring worship via livestream to any of the Tree of Life family unable to return to the sanctuary under the current circumstances.

The Livestream begins each Sunday morning just after 10am, with worship starting at 10:30, on:
